An E. coli infection in the vagina or uterus could lead to pregnancy challenges. There may be a heightened opportunity for preterm rupture of membranes (a breaking with the amniotic sac, which retains the amniotic fluid within the building newborn), preterm delivery (delivery just before 37 weeks of
